First Couple on the Moon
20th July 1969. Two astronauts achieve the unthinkable overcoming any obstacle. The man stepped on the moon. At the same moment, somewhere in the province of Greece, a couple tries to manage while they are being threatened with an imminent eviction. Their living together is tough and it seems there is no way to save their relationship. Their obstacles seem insurmountable. The news of moon landing upsets the couple’s routine and lead them to an imaginary trip to the moon where everything is possible.

A silent romantic comedy to the accompaniment of live piano music. Art Vouveau creates a story of two ordinary people trapped in their everyday routine reaching an ending point in their relationship. They are both incapable of coping with their problems while in an existential manner they are strongly trying to escape them. This play contemplates the fragility of human relationships and the great human urge for hope.
